CBD Moon Rocks: What are they?

CBD Moon Rock: what is it?
Moon Rock is a very special CBD flower! It is a genuine cannabidiol bud, coated in CBD wax and then pollen. You could compare it to a CBD flower… with resin! Thanks to its production method, CBD Moon Rock has a very high cannabidiol concentration.
Whilst a traditional flower bud generally contains less than 10% cannabidiol, Moon Rock can contain up to 60%.
This is made possible in particular by combining the CBD flower with wax. Wax is a type of crystallised cannabidiol oil which, much like a crumble, allows for the maximum concentration of cannabinoids. The wax is ‘full spectrum’, meaning it contains all the cannabinoids naturally present in the hemp plant.

How is Moon Rock weed made?
The Moon Rock production process is fairly simple and preserves the benefits of the natural CBD flower.
First, a high-quality CBD flower is selected, one that is very dense and of a good size. This flower, like all traditional flower buds, is dried and trimmed.
Next, the CBD wax in which the flower will be steeped is chosen. Wax is a type of crystallised cannabidiol oil. As it contains all the cannabinoids naturally present in the hemp plant (since it is derived from direct extraction), it promotes the ‘entourage effect’, namely the synergistic interaction of all the cannabinoids which enhances the flower’s benefits.
Once dipped in the wax, the flower is coated in CBD pollen, which helps to even out the texture, naturally enhance the flavour and boost the potential of the Moon Rock weed in terms of its effects.
The bud is then dried until it becomes a solid ‘core’. Moon Rock CBD is created! Its name, which means ‘moon rock’, refers to its powdery appearance and solidity. One might say that Moon Rock CBD has a ‘lunar’ appearance.
How should Moon Rock CBD be consumed?
As you might expect, Moon Rock weed is particularly hard. This is due to the wax coating that surrounds the flower. It is therefore not possible to crumble it with your fingers, as you might do with a traditional CBD flower. Once ground, moon rock is consumed in the same way as traditional CBD flower. You can consume your moon rock in a CBD joint, in a recipe, as a herbal tea, or even via a vaporiser.
What are the effects of CBD moon rock?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a molecule packed with benefits! In moon rock, CBD is concentrated alongside other cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN or CBC, allowing the user to experience all the benefits of cannabinoids in no time at all. Remember that moon rock can contain up to 60% cannabinoids! Thanks to this very high concentration, moon rock users will quickly experience:

What is the difference between Moon rock and Ice rock?
If you’re interested in moon rock, you’ve no doubt heard of ice rock as well. It’s easy to confuse the two, but they aren’t exactly the same product. Ice rock is made in the same way as moon rock, but instead of being coated in CBD wax, it’s coated in isolate. Isolate is a 99% pure concentrate of cannabidiol.
Ice rock contains more cannabidiol (up to 80%) than moon rock, but has less diversity in terms of cannabinoids. Whilst moon rock is full-spectrum with a high concentration of CBD, CBN, CBC and CBG, ice rock contains mainly CBD.
It should be noted that this depends on the type of isolate used to create the ‘shell’ of the ice rock. If it is cannabigerol (CBG) isolate, for example, then conversely the ice rock flower will contain mainly CBG.
Ice rock is easy to recognise! Just like moon rock, it lives up to its name, ‘ice block’, which refers to its solidity and white colour (due to the isolate).
