THCV & H4CBD: Two new cannabinoids with interesting effects
CBG9, THCP, THCJD, H4CBD, HHCP and HHCPO are now banned in France. Discover CBD as an alternative!
Whether you’re a hemp enthusiast or a complete beginner, you’re no doubt aware that the world of legal cannabis is constantly evolving. Amidst a flurry of new developments, numerous strains are emerging. Some are rich in cannabidiol (CBD), a cannabinoid that needs no introduction… Others are enhanced with slightly more unusual cannabinoids such as tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV).
Today, we’re introducing two cannabinoids that are set to take the hemp community by storm: tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) and tetrahydrocannabidiol (H4CBD).
Key takeaways:
- THCV and H4CBD are innovative cannabinoids offering more intense effects than traditional CBD.
- THCV is known for its appetite-suppressing and muscle-relaxing properties.
- H4CBD, or hydrogenated cannabidiol, amplifies the effects of CBD, promoting relaxation and creativity.
- Legal in France and Europe, THCV and H4CBD are available on Sixty8, complying with the 0.2% THC limit.

THCV, H4CBD: where do they come from?
Cannabinoids such as CBD have been known for a long time. More precisely referred to as ‘phytocannabinoids’, these are plant-derived molecules capable of binding to our endocannabinoid system. In doing so, they interact with our CB1 and CB2 receptors, which are themselves responsible for numerous functions within our body, such as the management of pain, stress, hunger, inflammation, and the immune and nervous systems. Certain plants, such as hemp, produce numerous cannabinoids as they grow.
At the same time as cannabidiol was discovered, a whole host of other cannabinoids were identified. This is particularly the case with HHC and THCV, which are produced in small quantities in hemp flowers.
THCV and H4CBD are cannabinoids that have been developed from hemp plants. Today, it is possible to optimise hemp flowers to encourage the production of specific cannabinoids.
THCV: what is it?
THCV is one of the new cannabinoids attracting increasing interest from consumers. The reason is quite simple: it is the king of cannabinoids for well-being. Also known by professionals as tetrahydrocannabivarin, it is a natural molecule found in hemp.
Recently, this cannabinoid has come to the fore for its interesting muscle and mental relaxation effects.
THCV: what are the effects?
THCV flowers, contrary to what the name suggests, do not have the same effects as THC. In fact, they are said to have opposite effects in certain respects. For example, tetrahydrocannabivarin is known to… curb the appetite! Whilst most cannabinoids stimulate it, THCV appears to be an excellent appetite suppressant.
Among the key effects of THCV are its muscle-relaxing properties. It is thought to reduce muscle spasms. This is why the scientific community is keen to study its anticonvulsant properties.
Finally, THCV is said to be a good stress reliever. If you are naturally anxious, it may help you combat stress.
THCV: who is it for? When?
Tetrahydrocannabivarin is best suited to regular users. It is also a good compound for well-being. Taken in moderation in the evening, it can be a great aid to physical and mental relaxation.
H4CBD: the new darling of the hemp world
H4CBD: the compound
If you want to be at the cutting edge of innovation, how could we not recommend H4CBD? Hydrogenated cannabidiol has recently entered the market. It is also known as THD or tetrahydrocannabidiol. Few CBD shops sell it as it requires a high level of expertise.
H4CBD has a molecular structure similar to CBD. It is a cannabidiol molecule to which hydrogen atoms have been added. As we mentioned earlier, the hydrogen atoms enhance communication with our endocannabinoid system. It is said that hydrogenated cannabidiol has around 100 times the effects of cannabidiol!

The effects of H4CBD
H4CBD is primarily a molecule that promotes relaxation. Most users report changes in their:
- Stress management: they feel more relaxed and at ease.
- Creativity: hydrogenated cannabidiol is said to be a very effective stimulant for the mind.
- Everyday ailments: pain and stress can be alleviated.
Generally speaking, the effects of H4CBD can be considered similar to those of CBD, except that they are much more intense.
H4CBD: who is it for and when?
Hydrogenated cannabidiol is suitable for both regular users and beginners. However, we recommend, particularly for novices, starting with very low doses.
H4CBD, just like the other cannabinoids discussed in this article, is best reserved for quiet moments in the evening, once all the day’s tasks have been completed.
Are there any specific recommendations?
Hydrogenated cannabidiol and tetrahydrocannabivarin are more potent than cannabidiol. They may cause side effects such as nausea, drowsiness, fatigue or a loss of spatial and temporal orientation.
Please therefore consume these cannabinoids with caution, ensuring you are well-informed on the subject. Similarly, we recommend that you do not drive, perform tasks requiring concentration, carry out DIY, operate machinery or handle dangerous objects, or supervise children if you have consumed H4CBD or THCV.
These products must be kept out of the reach and sight of minors. They must not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women, or by those undergoing medical treatment.
THCV & H4CBD: legal or not?
Unlike HHC and its derivatives (HHCP and HHCO), H4CBD is entirely legal in France and Europe. Provided the products you purchase comply with current legislation (less than 0.2% THC), you have nothing to worry about!
Where can you find THCV and H4CBD?
At Sixty8, you can buy both THCV and H4CBD. All our products comply with legal limits. You are guaranteed to find great products, with complete peace of mind! From resins and flowers to vapes, there’s something for everyone!
