H4CBD: how should it be consumed?
CBG9, THCP, THCJD, H4CBD, HHCP and HHCPO are now banned in France. Discover CBD as an alternative!
Hydrogenated cannabidiol, or H4CBD, is making a grand entrance onto the hemp market. With HHC and its two derivatives, HHCP and HHCO, having just been banned in France by the ANSM, consumers are turning to a healthier cannabinoid that provides significant relaxation effects.
Key takeaways:
- H4CBD can be consumed in the form of flowers, resins, or via vapes for significant relaxation effects.
- H4CBD flowers offer flavours similar to CBD but with more intense effects.
- H4CBD resin contains a higher concentration of the cannabinoid, offering spicy flavours and an authentic experience.
- H4CBD vapes allow for discreet consumption with improved bioavailability and a wide range of flavours.
H4CBD, also known as THD (short for ‘tetrahydrocannabidiol’), looks set to have a long future ahead of it in the wellness market. Not only does it originate from a mild molecule, CBD, which has numerous benefits, but it is also said to have a much more potent effect than CBD. This is thought to be due to the presence of hydrogen atoms, which enhance the interaction between the cannabinoid and the endocannabinoid system.
But then, how should it be consumed?
H4CBD flowers
Various flower buds containing hydrogenated cannabidiol
Hydrogenated cannabidiol flowers were the first to appear on the market. It was quickly observed that the presence of hydrogen atoms on a cannabidiol (CBD) molecule substantially increased its effects. This is why the most advanced hemp producers quickly focused on optimising strains in an H4CBD version.
As a result, there are already several varieties of H4CBD flowers. These floral buds have the same flavours as those containing cannabidiol but provide much more intense effects.

How do you consume an H4CBD flower?
A hydrogenated cannabidiol flower is consumed in the same way as a traditional flower.
- Vaping H4CBD: place the flower in the chamber of a vaporiser and set the temperature according to the desired effects (the higher the temperature, the stronger the effects will be). With the vapour, you inhale all the cannabinoids.
- Smoking H4CBD flower: this method is not recommended. However, you can grind your flower using a grinder and roll a H4CBD joint.
- Eating or drinking H4CBD as a herbal tea: it would appear that this is possible, but the extent of the effects is unknown. Are they reduced? Are they prolonged? It can be assumed that with the addition of a fat (milk, butter or oil), H4CBD will be active in the same way as CBD in a culinary preparation.
H4CBD resin
Hydrogenated cannabidiol hash
Hemp experts didn’t waste any time in developing the THD hash range! In France, we know that users love good old-fashioned resins! Whether Pakistani, Lebanese or Indian style, all types of hash seem well-suited to adaptation to hydrogenated cannabidiol.
The advantage of H4CBD resin is that it concentrates the cannabinoid even further and releases very pronounced, spicy flavours. In short, it’s a solution for connoisseurs who love hemp in its most authentic form.

How to consume H4CBD Hash?
Just like H4CBD flowers, you can consume the resins:
- By vaporising, placing the resin in the vaporiser chamber.
- In culinary preparations, always remembering to add fat.
- In an H4CBD joint.
H4CBD vapes
The benefits of H4CBD vapes
This is a must-try! Less harmful than joints, H4CBD vaping can be a good way to consume hydrogenated cannabidiol. There are several advantages to using an e-cigarette, vape pen or puff:
- Choice of flavours: whether you have a sweet tooth, prefer something refreshing or the authentic taste of skunk, vapes let you choose the flavours that suit you!
- Better bioavailability: through vaporisation, cannabinoids penetrate our respiratory barriers more easily and are better absorbed by the body. Less hydrogenated cannabidiol for greater effects – that’s the whole principle behind H4CBD vaping.
- Less harmful: as you know, smoke is extremely harmful to the lungs. Vapour is much less so!

Different ways to vape hydrogenated cannabidiol
Depending on the device used, you will vape your H4CBD differently. Therefore, it is best to choose a solution that suits you perfectly:
- The H4CBD vape: perfect for occasional use, the disposable vape is very easy to use. Simply inhale through the mouthpiece and all the flavours fill your mouth. It fits in any pocket and is very discreet. Generally speaking, vapes are seen as treats enjoyed for pleasure.
- The H4CBD e-cigarette: there aren’t many H4CBD e-liquids available yet, but they’ll be here soon! This method of consumption is popular with regular users, who simply need to refill their e-cigarette when it’s empty.
- The H4CBD vape pen: halfway between a vape pen and an e-cigarette, the vape pen is rechargeable whilst retaining the advantage of being discreet and practical.
Which H4CBD online shop should you choose?
Before making your H4CBD purchases, it’s best to choose a reliable H4CBD website! Remember to check:
- The legality of your product: as a reminder, HHC, HHCP, HHCO and THC are prohibited under French and European law. For your hydrogenated cannabidiol product to be legal, it must contain less than 0.2% THC.
- The reliability of the website: A website offering thousands of H4CBD flowers without any details or descriptions is not necessarily reliable. Choose a website that knows its products.
At Sixty8, all our hydrogenated cannabidiol products are made from hemp flowers grown in Europe. Flowers, resins and vapes comply with current legislation, namely a THC content of less than 0.2%.
