IS THCA DETECTABLE IN DRUG TESTS?
Yes, THCA can be detected in a drug test, although this depends on several factors. In its raw state, THCA is not directly detected in conventional tests, which primarily target the active THC (Δ9-THC). However, after heating or vaporisation, THCA converts into THC, which is detectable in saliva, urine or blood tests.
So, if you consume a THCA product in a way that activates it (by inhaling, vaping, smoking or cooking), there is a high probability that traces of THC will appear in the results, just as with a conventional cannabis product.
If you undergo regular checks or workplace testing, it is important to bear this in mind and remain cautious, even if the product you are consuming is legally available. If in doubt, you should opt for full-spectrum CBD products with a low THC content or seek medical advice.
