WHAT IS CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural active ingredient extracted from industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa), a cannabis variety legally cultivated in Europe. This molecule is one of many cannabinoids found in the plant, but is characterised by its calming and non-psychotropic effects.

Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main psychoactive component of recreational cannabis, CBD does not impair perception or mental faculties. It is entirely legal in many countries, provided it complies with the prescribed THC limits.

Today, cannabidiol enjoys great popularity due to its relaxing effects and is available in various forms: oils, flowers, resins, cosmetics and infusions.
